Handling and feeding seabirds course –NQF Level 2 – 28 credits

This CATHSSETA accredited course will introduce you to the wonderful world of seabirds where you will learn how to care for a variety of seabirds in a variety of environments.

This is the only accredited course in South Africa that will teach you how to work with penguins and other seabirds and as a result the cost of this course can be claimed from your skills development levy funding. Speak to your HR Manager or Skills Development Facilitator to find out more.

What will you learn?

You will learn more about different types of seabirds, caring for them in captive and natural environments, how to handle and feed them, illness, disease and bird behavior.

Who can participate?

Anyone that have achieved the following:

English Language - NQF Level 1 (Grade 9)

Communication - NQF Level 1 (Grade 9)

If you are serious about a career in seabird conservation, then you should seriously consider participation in this course.

What about Recognition for Prior Learning?

This course has a RPL option for those individuals that has worked with seabirds for at least 196 hours but don’t have the papers to prove it. Request more information here.
